The Grands Voyage contains 13 parts. It describes early voyages pertaining to the Americas and the New World.

 

Part 1 - Walter Raleigh’s failed colony in Roanoke, New England. This part was also published in French and English - 1590

Part 2 - Jacques Le Moyne’s account of the failed French colony in Florida - 1591

Part 3 - Jean de Lery and Hans Stadens account of the Tupinamba Indians in Brazil - famous for its accounts of their cannibal tendencies - 1592

Parts 4 - Benzoni’s account of the Americas - 1594

Part 5 - Benzoni’s account of the Americas - 1595

Part 6  - Benzoni’s account of the Americas - 1597

Part 7 - Schmidel’s account of Argentina and the foundation of Buenos Aires by Mendoza - 1599

Part 8 - Francis Drake’s famous circumnavigation and raids on New Spain. Accounts of the voyages of Cavendish, Hawkins and Raleigh - 1599

Part 10 - John Smith’s account of Virginia - 1618
