-Provenance: With signature of Sydney James Gray to each issue. One issue with a postage stamp to address in Otago, New Zealand with "On Active Service" written and the troop number "50709 ANZAC" and censor stamp.

This iconic ANZAC publication was the official soldier's magazine in the Middle East during WW1. Written by soldiers, it has a humorous outlook on war and demonstrated the building camaraderie, and identity formation, of the Australian and New Zealand ANZAC soldiers. The title Kia-ora reflects the Māori greeting, while Coo-ee was an Australian greeting often used in the bush. This iconic publication is one of the most desirable and iconic ANZAC publications.
