Octavo (195 x 120mm). Original brown soft card covers with simple stitching. Several quires uncut. Light foxing to some pages but otherwise good.
Published in Paihia by William Colenso at the Missionary Press in 1840
An early impression from William Colenso’s Press at Paihia, which had started printing short tracts in 1835.
BIM: “This Is the Second Issue of WIlliam Puckey’s translation of the Books of Daniel and Jonah which had been added to by William Colenso. 5000 copies were printed of this tract and a shorter version.”
One of the more common survivors from the Paihia Press with 38 copies identified on WorldCat including 15 in North America.
