-Red Morocco binding - 16 x 12cm approx.
-Gilt gauffred page edges.
-Some marks and wear to binding. Upper and lower spine damaged.
-172 numbered pages (including last blank) of thick paper all with black borders
-Sections: Preces Maturina, Preces Vespertina, Preces pro-Sacrificio Missa, Officium immaculata conceptio, Litaniae Lauretanae, Oratio ad Christum crucifixum, Septem Psalmi Poenitentiales, Litaniae omnis Sanctorum.
Bound in gilt red leather, and with decorative “Dutch” end papers, the little book is carefully written in a calligraphic hand. The 171 pages contain prayers for the different times of the day in black ink, with decorative elements - including a parrot, a sun and a moon- in blue ink
This was likely written by a young woman and would have been used for her daily prayer and contemplation.
