This is an important early description of India and Sri Lanka by the Dutch Priest Phillipus Baldaeus who lived in India and Ceylon for many years. The work is abundantly illustrated with plates and maps. The maps include a nice map of Sri Lanka and the plates include a lovely illustration of Elephants being washed and cared for.
