This is an early pocket book to teach basic Te Reo Māori to European settlers in New Zealand. The Book contains a description of the alphabet and language alongside simple phrases. Many of these phrases reflect the needs of settlers and early interactions between Europeans and Māori - including description of fishing, transport by horses and trade.
