This is a famous series on hunting designed by Stradanus and engraved and executed by Galle and Collaert. Several iconic images include a leopard being trapped after being attracted to itself in a mirror, and scenes of duck hunting underwater. This is likely an early state of the engravings given the short run of numbered prints (rather than >100 which were found in later editions) and the title page without extra engraved text.
Creases, repairs and losses to some pages including title page (please examine photos) but overall a good copy.
20th century later binding.
